Yields: Makes 6 Servings
Ingredients:
- 2 Leeks, finely chopped
- 4 Carrots, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup Chicken broth
- 2 tbsp. Butter
- 1 tsp. Olive oil
- 1 tbs. White sugar
- ½ tsp. Dried thyme
- ½ tsp. Salt
- 1/8 tsp. Ground black pepper
Method of Preparation:
1. In a pan on medium high heat add in the butter and oil
2. Throw in the leeks and sauté for 1 minute and then the carrots for another 2 minutes
3. Add in the chicken broth into the pan and reduce the heat to allow it to simmer
4. Once it starts simmering add in the thyme and sugar and cook it until the liquid evaporates
5. Once the liquid evaporates cook them until the leeks and carrots are lightly browned, 2-3 minutes. 6. Serve while it’s still hot. Enjoy!
