Thanga Meengal movie Review
There are lots of films released in Tamil industry depicting emotions of father-daughter. From the list, Kannathil Muthamittal and Abhiyum Naanum are the all time best films in that genre. Thanga Meengal of Ramsubramaniam is a story of a common man – Kalyanasundaram. He loves his daughter Chellamma (Sadhana) and she is the reason of his living.Kalyanasundaram is not a smart person when it comes to earning money and due to this his father humiliates him every day. Family faces financial crisis and Kalyanasundaram manages to pull the cart. The emotions for her daughter never fade away in any hard situations. The theme is about a person who is unable to earn money for his family and so he flees to Kochin. You will also see Shelly Kishore in a noticeable character. She is a home maker who struggles more to raise her family from such pathetic condition.
At distinct point, Thanga Meengal has also highlighted the present scenario of education system. The sequences include discrimination done by teachers between students. The story has also shown the condition of government and private schools and how both are similar in terms of quality education for students.
Thanga Meengal theme is not a new to tamil industry, yet the presentation has been doen in unique way. We will rate it with three stars.
