THE CITY THAT SPENT 25 YEARS UNDERWATER
Welcome to Villa Epecuen, a salt lake town just South of Buenos Aires. Please forgive the mess... it's been under water for a quarter of a century. You see, back in 1985, Epecuen was home to over 5,000 people when a dam failed and flooded the city with thirty-three feet of salt water. Residents took refuge on their roofs waiting for the water to receed, but it didn't until 2009 when the lake finally released the modern day Atlantis.
